Consider letting sellers know your promo codes and promotions in advance to provide better marketing synergy and increased sales
As primarily a RB T-shirt seller, it would be great to know of when RB is going to be running a promotion or coupon codes on specific kinds of items IN ADVANCE.
I relay discount/coupon codes to my followers on my social networks as soon as I see one appear in a RB promotion email, but it would be more efficient to be able to prepare marketing collateral in advance of the actual promotion running instead of rushing to throw information together.
Think about it - if you guys at RB could get all of sellers together on the same page, not only would your marketing efforts to the consumer gain extra sales with your promotions, but us sellers could provide another touch point in the marketing machine by creating great collateral that promotes our own RB designs. Getting this information in advance means better looking design collateral and marketing that reaches synergy on both ends.
So what would be a practical way to start this? What about a a weekly or monthly newsletter that sellers could sign up/opt in for? Or something that sellers that make $X amount per month get access to? I realize that you don't want to send advanced coupon codes or promotions to your entire user base, so having a money-per-month threshold could be the easiest way to add sellers to a list and be less labor intensive.

Hi Folks :) you might find this useful http://redbubblecouponcodes.wordpress.com/2012/10/23/10-off-shirts-hoodies-through-wednesday-october-24-2012/
RB put me on to it when I asked about details for discounts.

I like the idea - but with a twist. I just joined this week so it would be a big help to newbies like me to get advance notice too so we can jump-start our sales.
IMHO, just letting established sellers in on the promos will give them a further leg up on newbies whose work already has less of a chance of being seen compared to work that's been selling for ages. I know there's a tab for recent work but popular items are still going to end up and top, which gives older work an edge.
Big sellers should be rewarded but not in a way that would have a negative impact on the rest of the community.
I think otherwise it's a GREAT idea - good for sellers and good for redbubble.

3 votes. This is a great idea. When I was part of Zazzle, the best thing was a monthly 'sellers email' which included suggestions for upcoming events (fathers day, ComicCon etc) and also news about upcoming new products and such.
