Ideas

Welcome to Ideas, the gathering place for new product and website ideas for RB!

You are welcome to read, vote, and add your own new ideas.

If you need assistance with using the Redbubble website, or information on existing products or services, we have a whole support site full to the brim with help!
Click here for the goodness – http://support.redbubble.com/home

Ideas are reviewed daily by humans, so please do keep to constructive and practical ideas and comments. Anything that is of a tone that would make your sweet, well-respected grandmother hit you with her knitting will be removed in order to not cloud or sidetrack great new ideas.

How do I use Ideas?
1) Search for keywords for your new idea – since great minds think alike, it’s possible someone else may have already thought of it and they’re waiting for your important vote!

2) If your idea is not already here, you can suggest it using simple, polite and constructive language, citing specific URLs where relevant.

3) That’s it! Our feedback team reviews these ideas daily and feeds these into our product and site development process. We will only respond directly if we need to ask for further information, to keep you free to do what you do best – create!

What are your new ideas for Redbubble?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Full Art T-shirts

I think it would be great to sell artthe size of a tshirt, not just the small frontal section. I've had a few ideas for t-shirts before but have been unable to produce them due to the limited space on t-shirts.

  2. Set a design with it gains going to Charity Organizations

I want the possibility to define some of my designs and available products made with them to have their gains going to charity organizations.

The artist will define a marge as usual but his profits will be automatically sent to a charity organization of his choice (in a panel defined by RB).

RedBubble will get involved in being transparent about those transactions, displaying a specific icon/label on those items and could even give some of their profits too on each item sold.

It will be perfectly appropriate for some designs about "I can't breathe", "Black lives matter" or "Je Suis…

  3. Free Test Print

I think Red Bubble should give artists a free test print to see how the colors come out on their t-shirts, posters, prints, etc.

  4. Go back to American Apparel t-shirts

I've bought t-shirts from Redbubble for the past 5 years or so, mainly because of the unique designs on the site, but also because they are the best fitting and best quality t-shirts I have ever found.

Until now. These new 'STANLEYSTELLA' t-shirts are nowhere near as good quality as American Apparel. The stitching doesn't look as good, and the fitting is tiny. I'm normally a LARGE but this t-shirt, size 'L' is more like a medium. And the sleeves are more like a small.

    Please go back to AA.

  5. Customers should be allowed to choose the background colour for all items. Not just clothing!

So when I upload a picture for a phone cover, the picture has a transparent background. Using the Redbubble editor I can then change that background to any colour! Once I save my edit the background colour is permanent and my customers cannot then change the background to say, yellow, like they can with clothing. Thus, my question is.... How long until the customer (not the artist) can change the background colour of things like duvet covers? I know deep down (and from a web developement POV) that it's not a hard thing to implement on Redbubbles end. Colour makes…

  7. Artist Signatures

There should be an option for artists to include their cursive signature on the very bottom right or left side of a shirt. This will give the buyers' shirts a more unique look, as if the buyers bought expensive designer shirts (which they did, we artists are designers). Really, i would buy more of my shirts more often just to show off to my friends my design and cursive signature on the shirt.

  8. Allow the image to be rotated as needed for the various products in the edit screen.

This would be helpful especially for the difference between laptop skins and vertical skins, such as phones and tablets.

  9. Order shirts, stickers, posters, and etc in bulk

Give artist an option to order their artwork in bulk, some of us sell at concerts and other gatherings. Instead of a manufacturing cost of $20/shirt offer an option of $120 per 10 shirts or what ever would fit the logistics.

  11. Repeat Pattern Option

I think it would be a valuable tool to designers to be able to create a design/illustration and have the option when editing to turn it into a repeat pattern.

Having this option would save so much time on the designers part making sure the image fits a certain size or creating a pattern from scratch.

The duvet covers, throw pillows and tote bags would definitely benefit from this!

  12. The hyperlinks at the top of our profile page and gallery..

It is pertinent to remove the hyperlinks at the top of all our pages that take visitors to other galleries.

Nobody is able to buy our brands, multiple matching merchandise and/or cards, etc.

Or, if you refuse, make this an opt in/opt out (which many offer) as it is ethical and fair to both parties. DEFAULT DEFINITELY IS OPT-OUT. And I'm serious.

If it is not done that way, we begin our campaign reminding all RB artists to turn it off or visitors will not be seeing much if any of their galleries.

My wife Lee and I do not…

  13. Artist discounts on own products

If an artist upload a design to sell, I think it would be a good incentive if the seller (artist) got a discount (half-priced) for buying their own products (I.e shirt, sticker, etc).

  15. Have the option to use money earned as currency on Redbubble instead of getting paid. Especially useful if you don't have $20. yet.

If I don't have $20.00 yet to get payed via paypal, it would be nice to have the option to at least spend it on redbubble as currency.

  16. You guys seriously need an app!

This is honestly one of the best clothing and accessory website I've ever been to. It's not cheap material, it's not expensive and it's all of my favorite groups. I plan on buying from you guys often and it would be a hell of a lot easier if I had the app on my phone.

  17. P

When my wife Lee and I came to Red Bubble it was because it was created "for artists by artists". This meant people were going to look out for us as well as we look out for them.

Suddenly, after 3 years of hard work creating a rather large gallery/brand, Red Bubble has added the predictable hyperlinks at the top of the page (that take people off your gallery, never to be found again).

We are a business. A brand. People who buy our products generally buy the brand (matching items); or bookmark it for later matching brands.

    The natural…

  18. Patches

Since red bubble is not able to print on the arms of shirts or jumpers, we should be able to create patches whether they be sew on, iron on or even pin on is you to RB but it would look awesome and have quite a high revenue. Also to go with patches how about jackets? Like the heavier duty ones, not just pullovers and zip ups.

  19. Product ideas: Skateboards, Pencil cases, wallets, and wrist watches

I think this set of available products would be very cool.
Being able to print on skateboards or introduce your own collection of those.
About the cases, I'm talking about the metal ones.
    Wallets would look cool.
as for Wrist watches, I'm talking swatch like ones.

  20. Books

I want to bring this idea up again and put a spin on it. Imagine if you could create and sell a children's book and then customers can buy a book and the tshirt (or mug etc) that goes with the book. In particular children's books. I think this would increase sales for all products. Imagine a gift 'pack' with a children's book and a tshirt. Thoughts?
